Institution

Leading research, development, and innovation centre active in the fields of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Analysis (HPDA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum Computing (QC) and their application to other scientific fields, industry, and society. IT4Innovations operates the most powerful supercomputing systems in the Czech Republic, provided to Czech and foreign research teams from academia and industry. Together with the CESNET and CERIT-SC institutions, IT4Innovations constitutes e-INFRA CZ, a strategic research infrastructure of the Czech Republic.

Research expertise

Focusing on co-design, testing new computing technologies, and evaluating and improving the energy efficiency of simulation software. Major contributor in creating workflows and tools for exascale computing. Also optimizing the performance and scalability of materials science software.

Tasks in MaX

IT4I will lead WP4. There, it will bring the expertise and tools (MERIC and RADAR) in energy efficiency evaluation and tuning as T4.3 leader. IT4I is a member of the LUMI consortium. IT4I has expertise in development of accelerated applications and porting of codes to novel hardware architectures that will contribute to WP1 and partially WP4. In WP2, IT4I provides expertise in executing large scale work- flows and development of HYPERQUEUE, a tool for this domain. HYPERQUEUE will be improved for a better support of MaX workflows in cooperation with AIIDA (UBremen).
