CASTIEL 2 Launches the HPC in Europe Portal: A Unified Gateway to European Supercomputing

CASTIEL 2 launches the HPC in Europe Portal, gathering EU-funded HPC resources, training, and expertise in one platform to enhance accessibility, collaboration, and visibility within the European supercomputing ecosystem.

The CASTIEL 2 project has launched the HPC in Europe Portal, a centralised platform that brings together EU-funded high-performance computing (HPC) resources, services, and expertise. The portal aims to make Europe’s HPC ecosystem more connected, visible, and accessible to researchers, industry professionals, public authorities, and SMEs.

For the first time, National Competence Centres (NCCs), Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and other HPC initiatives are united in a single hub. Users can access a wide range of resources, including training courses, events, best practices, specialized software, and expert support. The portal also highlights success stories and use cases, showing how HPC contributes to scientific, industrial, and societal progress.

Developed in collaboration with the HPC SPECTRA project, the portal represents a significant step toward a stronger, more connected European HPC landscape. The portal will continue to expand, as it will gradually incorporate additional EU-funded HPC projects and services. By gathering resources into one user-friendly platform, the HPC in Europe Portal simplifies information sharing and encourages collaboration within the European HPC community.
